So, we've been pretty busy lately which hasn't left me much time to blog.
Abby turned 1 on July 29th. She and Jared share the same birthday, but I'm pretty sure it will be more about Abby than Jared on that day from now on!
We had a party out at the lake and attempted to make homemade ice cream, but it was SO hot the ice cream wouldn't freeze so we had milkshakes instead.
We had family and friends there with us to make the day even more special. I even attempted my first real cake decorating experience...I think it turned out just fine!
Abby has started walking more. She will walk across the room now, but if she really wants to get somewhere, she drops and crawls the rest of the way. Her obsession with ducks has waned somewhat, but she is now obsessed with bubbles. Blowing bubbles, watching bubbles, and having bubble baths...she's all for it!
A week ago we had to take Abby to the ER at 11:30pm for a temp of 104.3. Blood work and a chest x-ray showed the beginning stages of pneumonia, so she was on antibiotics for a week and has been doing just fine. She just gave us a good scare, but we are so thankful it wasn't anything more serious.
So, all in all, it has been a very eventful but enjoyable around our house. We are hoping for things to slow down soon, but I rather doubt they will!
